AC Controlsmike561 10-19-2006, 12:13 AM I was wondering how possible it would be to switch out the dual climate control that has the digital display to this one that has the knobs instead, i imagine the wiring cant be different since its still a dual climate controler only without the digital display right?? i know its a couple of years difference though, just wondering. one like this: http://www.carauctionhelper.com/~worldwidemotor/2F100049-20sm.jpg richtazz 10-19-2006, 12:24 PM everything behind the dash is still different. The dual zone manual controls still use a blower speed resistor, and the climate control uses a module. The only thing behind the dash that's the same is the two temp actuators. Unless you want to remove the entire HVAC system, and have a complete donor car, forget about it. mike561 10-19-2006, 02:51 PM ohh ok, yeah its not worth it, i just had pretty much the whole system replaced and it works perfect now. GTPSPEED 10-19-2006, 07:16 PM I just got my first gp this month, and i am still trying to figure out the climate control buttons.Im not used to this digital shit hahaha. mike561 10-20-2006, 12:41 AM yeah its pretty confiusing. thats why i always think basic is better. mike561 10-21-2006, 02:54 PM ok so what about the stock delco radios like the one pictured above, if i get a radio like that off ebay from lets say a 2003 grand prix, is the wiring the same for my 98 on the sterio part??? just wondering about that because my cd player is starting to go and i want to get the newest kind possible, im not really into all these fancy expensive sound systems. mike561 10-23-2006, 01:42 AM im sure someone knows about this question^ richtazz 10-23-2006, 10:43 AM The radios would be interchangeable from 97-03, no problem. mike561 10-23-2006, 01:57 PM oh ok cool, thanks vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
