Fuel regulator or Nut kitGT11 10-18-2006, 06:13 AM Getting a rough idle and me thinks it's in the plenuim. Fuel pressure is a little low. Indicating a wearing fuel reg. or nut kit. The injector seems to be doing OK. Somewhere on this sight was an explination of how to tell (from the fuel washing on either side of the plenuim) which item was at fault. What is the Nut Kit? Where is it? Pics? Cost of each? Explanation of any problems while in the plenuim would be nice as well... Thanks guys GT wb8yjf 10-18-2006, 11:27 AM Getting a rough idle and me thinks it's in the plenuim. Fuel pressure is a little low. Indicating a wearing fuel reg. or nut kit. There is a ton of GREAT info. on both items along with detailed photos and how to information. This one will show you all you need to know: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=473110 I recently did just about everything in the fuel system including replacing the regulator, injector assy. and nut kit. My 4.3, '95 Jimmy needed both a nut kit and injector assy. One of the injector lines was rubbing against the nut kit & I ended up with a leak in the return line & one of the injector lines. The regulator is fairly inexspensive $30-50, the nut kit I believe was about $120 or so. Good luck! Jon wb8yjf 10-18-2006, 08:25 PM Not sure what year yours is but I found a nut kit on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/92-93-94-95-FUEL-FEED-RETURN-LINES-NUT-KIT-4-3-L-GM_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ42604QQihZ006QQitemZ 160036844135QQrdZ1 This is about half what I paid.... :( :) GT11 11-09-2006, 09:23 AM wb8yjf Thanks for all the great info. Some time before Christmas I will be taking on the reg, nut kit, injector, deal. Mines got 157K miles, so might as well replace it all. The vehicle in question is a 95 GMC Jimmy V6 Vortec. The great pics you supplied should make this thing a breeze to change out. I will also try and get my parts on the internet sites. Seems to be a lot cheaper. Any other comments are welcomed By the way, I am AD5DH - Extra / GROL 73 GT Chris Stewart 11-09-2006, 05:13 PM Here's more info including purchasing the parts at your local auto parts supply. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=518850 vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
