How to find out if Van has Remote lock/unlock?

We bought our 02 Venture about a year ago and it didn't come with a remote. Is there a way to tell if this van has the remote lock/unlock option that requires the factory remote?

I read a few threads here about programming the auto lock/unlock etc and the sequences remind me of what I had to do to program my lock/unlock with the park so that got me wondering.

It has pl/pw but no power sliding door and is the long base.

I seem to remember there was a way to tell if it was installed on a van or not, but can't remember where I saw the info. I'm going to do a little quick research and see if I can find it and post it here. i wonder if it's on your SPID tag in your van. That is a sticker in your van with codes that indicate which options are installed on a particular vehicle.

Thanks '97ventureowner. Not sure this van has the original stickers. It's a rebuilt title and they had to put a rebuilt sticker on the driver side. I will check it in a week....I work out of town and go home every 2 weeks.

P.s. we purchased this van from AAA auto auction in Orlando.....my father-in-law works there.
