I have had a squeaking noise under my blazer for a while now and it started to get worse. I did some investigating and found this........

Somehow I think its broken haha

Is this whats called the torsion bar mount???

If so obviously I need a new one. How do I replace it, is it just unbolting the two bolts and slapping the new one on?

Front sway bar bushing mount or holder.

Easy to replace.

Take the front skid plate off and use a jack to hold the sway bar up while you replace the mount.

Yea, should be a simple R&R just remember that there is tension on that thing.

That's not a Torsion bar, that's a sway bar mount. Not under tension. R&R instructions here: http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiBroker?ForwardPage=/az/cds/en_us/0900823d/80/12/b5/e0/0900823d8012b5e0.jsp

I did a google for sway bar mounts and got over 700 hits, this one looks like they can handle about any configuration: http://www.energysuspension.com/pages/swaybbct.html

Picked up a new bracket with polyurethane bushings and installed it. No more clunking and no more squeaks. Thank you!
