broken washer fluid lines......how to replace

I was trying to see where my washer fluid is leaking from on my 1997 again. (Ongoing problem, decided to see if I could get it fixed once and for all before winter comes.)
I found out where its leaking from, but now theres a new problem. My washer fluid lines are broken, both front and rear.
On the hood, near the middle, theres a splitter, and both lines are broken there. I guess its because they havent had anything in them for a while, so they are brittle. How do I go about replacing them? Should I just put a piece of hose over the broken areas, or should I go ahead and replace the entire line?

Im assuming the rest of the lines are just as brittle, if not broken already.

You should be able to find hose splicers to patch in another small piece of hose.

You sure you can't just cut back an inch or so and reattach the hoses.

Don't replace the whole hose becuase of one small piece. That would be a waste.

Windshield washer tubing can be found at any autoparts store. Make sure you bring in a small piece to get the right size.

Im just worried that the hoses are also broken in other places, where they twist and turn throughout the truck.
The pieces that I know are broken are very brittle, the broken off pieces more or less crumbled in my hand.

Don't assume that.

The rest of the hose is not exposed to the elements and heat as the hoses are subjected to in the engine bay.

Ripping out the whole length because one inch of hose is a waste of time.

Yep BlazerLT is right and I will tell you those lines go where no man was meant to go. It is hard enough just getting to the places to fix where they come loose and break besides going where you can't get to.
