Does your power die too? Lights?
It's not your starter or your battery but your alternator. God I hate when an alt goes. Especially on a foggy highway at 4am.

That too, you may have installed your starter wrong, with loose wires. So whenever working on a car, ALWAYS assume something is your fault, so that you don't have to buy another part BEFORE you redo it.

i thought it was my alternator so i took it to kragen auto, they ran a test on it and said that it was still good.

if the alternator is cheap, get a new one..low power from the alternator can kill your starter..

:disappoin

If the car ran fine before the starter was replaced, and does not run properly after the work was done, something got messed up in the process of the task, plain and simple.

Retrace your steps and your problem, you will find.

its wierd i changed my motor oil and oil filter, let it run for awhile on my driveway. next day took it out and it ran fine.

lol, probably two totally unrelated problems.. maybe your idle was just low. :D

some one came up with this (dumb idea) weird idea, when the engine was made at GM they made it to where it had to relearn the idle process evrytime the battery is disconnected. there is only a small mention of it in some manuals
