Heater Fan Failing -98 VoyagerRoverdude 10-14-2006, 10:44 PM The heater fan it failing -where can I find instructions on how to replace it myself, and where to order the fan? Thanks! Stretch58 10-14-2006, 10:54 PM Assuming you are here in the states, I would go out and buy a Chilton or Haynes book on your make/year van at a parts store. That should give you some help. It may not be the fan motor at all. Could be the resistor assy. which does the various speeds or even the panel switch. Best to check things out, rather than going for the most expensive part first. You should be able to get what parts you need at parts stores or the dealer. vipergg 10-15-2006, 07:27 AM That is the question why do you think the fan itself is failing , (doesn't happen very often) . What usually goes is the blower resistor which is what gives you the multiple fan speeds . If you just have 1 or 2 speeds it is the resistor which is pretty cheap to ewplace compared to a blower motor. RIP 10-15-2006, 04:38 PM I get the impression you are convinced the blower motor is bad. Try this: http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiBroker?ForwardPage=/az/cds/en_us/0900823d/80/1a/43/4c/0900823d801a434c.jsp Directions on left then see "Buy it here today" on right. Dodger48 10-16-2006, 06:29 AM Had the same thing happen on my 2000 Caravan. These blowers have a tendancy for bearing failure. Bought a salvaged blower motor for $50. The change-out is easy - takes about 20 minutes. Roverdude 10-17-2006, 10:27 PM Thanks! I will take a look at the relay also. I am thinking motor as it has the labored droll of a dying fan. But it also has been sometimes working fine, and at times not at all which would point to your relay suggestions. I will check it out this weekend! Again - thanks! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
