Hi!

I'm planning on what to buy as my first vehicle, which will probably be next year.

I can't really go for a recent (2002-now) vehicle since insurance are really greedy and cannot afford a ~400$/month payment + insurances + gas :nono:

I'm looking for a vehicle that has enough torque to tow very small 14" aluminum boat on a small trailer as well (which will probably be aluminum too).

I wish to use this vehicle as a "tent on wheels" camping vehicle, therefore the rear section should be big enough for this. I'd like some _mild_ offroad capabilities as well, but it's not a must.

I initially spotted the Element, but like I said, recent vehicles are out of the question for now.

The Jimmy seemed good (altough it has a humongous v6 4.3L) at first glance, but I ain't no mechanic so I'll stay away from GMC (you NEED to know stuff about car mechanic to keep a GMC, or at least a Jimmy on the road)

The Econoline is an overkill; I don't need to fit my whole appartement in said vehicle :grinyes: , and also has a huge v6 (4.2 or 4.9L). Then again, I don't know if Ford is more reliable than GMC, but sure ain't no Jap car.

So what are reliable (or somewhat reliable, I'm conscious I'm buying a used thing) vehicles fitting such criterias that were manufactured back in 95-97 (or around these years) ?

Thanks for any suggestions!
