my 98 s10 2.2 auto has a battery drain of .200 amps. i pulled fuse and when i pulled the TMC 10 amp fuse it dropped to zero amp draw. fuse is located in the engine compartment fuse block at the lower right corner. what is TMC? i dont have an owners manual to look it up. does anyone have a wiring diagram with this circuit in it. when i pulled out that fuse i couldnt start my truck. the security light came on and the cortesy lights dont work so that narrows down the circuit but i dont know what TMC means. i didnt know it had a security system as i dont have remotes to arm or disarm it. any help or knowledge is very much appreciated. wiring diagram would help even more.
thanks all.

that fuse powers up the body control module. although 50 ma is the text book standard, these can F with your brain. gm cars have a rap relay with the coil fired by bcm (r.a.p. retained accessory power) after you turn the key off you have 20min. of acc. power till you yank a door handle. i assume you hooked the dvom between the unhooked negative cable. see what it reads after 20min. if you touch it back to the battery it can start all over again.
your security light is part of the pass lock system bcm controlled. basicly the key cyl is a hall effect sensor and sends a signal to the bcm saying its there and every thing is fine, the bcm then enables fuel to the engine.
with the rap on 180ma to 200 something is normal
