Rear wiper ??

We have a 2000 Venture Van and the rear wiper has always worked well today I went to hit the Rear Defroster button and hit the wiper button, Well my wife went off to work and she said it spun around and now it only moves a little bit.... Can someone Help????

You say the wiper spun around. Does this mean it moved to the drivers side and then stopped? If so, sounds to me like the plastic gear that drives the wiper has a broken tooth on it. I think this is pretty common. Problem is you need to buy the entire wiper module (includes motor) and this is not a cheap item. For a $1 plastic gear you get to buy a $300 wiper module.

Ouch!!! That must be what is wrong with mine. When I turn it on all I hear is gears grinding. For $300, I think I'll live without it!

I replaced the rear wiper motor last week on 98 chev venture. Purchased a remanufactured unit at Bob Jones Auto in London Ontario for $45.00 complete with warranty
