How Does This Sound?Silvia2NR 09-05-2002, 08:59 PM I'm thinking of buying a 94-00 integra ls. My plan is to slap on an f-max turbo kit and eventually put a b16 head on to make it vtec. (ofcourse building up the bottom end and internals to prepare for the turbo). Do you reccommend taking this route? If not, what am i doing wrong/what do you think i should do? LUKE-RSX-S 09-05-2002, 09:25 PM Why not buy something new? I'm not a big fan of the Integra but if I was getting a Integra I would get the Type R its the fastest one it has 190hp which is not bad and I read some where that it beat the WRX in 0-60...just me two cents;) nofx627 09-06-2002, 08:29 PM The type r has a high compression ratio (10.6:1) whereas the ls engine has a low compression ratio (9.2:1). Plus a Type R costs a lot more. So it would cost less money to get a LS and do all of the stuff to it. GSteg 09-06-2002, 09:28 PM if you have money laying around and plan to put aftermarket pistons in...get a reputable mechanic to get your engine resleeve and put in some 85mm bore pistons that is made for the B20B/Z. it should raise the displacement up to 2.0 without affecting the engine's rod to stroke ratio. oh yea, i would take the B18C5 over the B18B1/2 any day. :) vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
