sticky caliper pistonbudster2 10-12-2006, 03:03 PM Any ideas on lubing a sticky caliper piston on a CR-V?? Pads are very hot and seem to be always in contact with the rotor. thanks:naughty: jeffcoslacker 10-12-2006, 04:11 PM More often than not, it's the caliper slides that are sticking, not the caliper itself. If the caliper itself is sticking, nothing you can do short of honing and rebuilding is gonna help. A faulty brake hose can cause dragging also. jeffcoslacker 10-12-2006, 04:13 PM If you want some elaboration, read this thread. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=629178 I can't type all that again...;) n8zdogg 10-17-2006, 09:42 PM 50 to 1 its the slide pins that allow the caliper to float. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
