What do these do?

Looking at a 94 roadmaster, there is a hollow plastic thing between the air filter and the throttle body, and another flat triangle shaped one on the top of the engine. What are these? My best guess was a placeholder for a turbocharger and hood scoop, respectively...

they are air silencers...
