I noticed today that I have a crazy loud squeaking that is coming from my left front tire. From reading the post it sounds like I may need to Grease the front end. It seems to stop when I apply the break thought.. Any suggestions?

Typical brakes wearing down sounds like. Sounds like you are hitting the tabs that squeak to let you know it is time for a pad replacement and a rotor turning

You hit it right on the nose.. Had a guy look at it for me and that is exactly what is was. Had the brakes replaced and no more sound.

Wicked, so easy to do, slap on pads and in 1/2 an hour all is well.

I believe it's great and all to have some way for the driver to know it's time for a brake pad change. With that said.. with all the technology these days couldn't they think of something better then a horrific noise that makes your car sound like it's falling apart?

It starts out as a chirping noise and doesn't get "horrific" unless you ignore or can't hear it. One thing i do occasionaly is when i find myself driving along a cement barrier or wall with no other traffic around I'll turn off the stereo and roll down the window to listen for any new noises echoing back at me.

You need to do that or a lot of people would ignore it and think it is nothing.

Got you moving didn't it? lol....it worked.
