On my 2001 Grand Am, the "Check Vehicle Soon" light is on during day only. It seems to have something to do with the light sensor. It doesn't come on in my garage or at night. When my husband had codes run, nothing came up -- maybe the codes only come up for "Check Engine Soon"???
Thanks for any help ---

Welcome to AF !

Its most likly one of your highbeam lights are burnt out,
So the Day time running lights(DRL) arent working.

hope that helps!

Now, it was quite entertaining to watch my husband and the neighbor try to follow the "simple" 5 step instructions in the owner's manual! And, to see the pictures illustrated with a woman's manicured nails was even more aggravating for them!!!

Thanks again!

Now, how do I avoid the $30 programming fee for a keyless entry remote????
Any ideas???

It is a bit tricky to change the bulbs, but not impossible.
No tools needed really.
Tell them to be carefull those black rings that hold in the bulbs tend to break easily, and are dealer only parts.

Thier is a thread just covering the programing, its free:D

Good Luck!
