I am trying to install a two-way radio into my 2004 Colorado and am looking for some type of diagram or advice on how to take the dash piece that is over the climate control knobs and radio. Do not want to break anything and hopefully its a quick snap off deal. Any help is appreciated

If the 04 is anything like the 07, it's just a pop off plate. The only trick is popping the plate off without scratching the dash. I've had mine off to replace the radio and add Satellite to the truck. Take literally seconds.
