After putting on a new water pump and thermostat my check engine light comes on while ideling. It goes off after I get up to speed but comes back on if I stop and idle for a few minutes. I hooked up a code reader and it said " 25 MAT is too high". Someone said it means "manifold air temp" but I'm not sure. Any help would be appreciated.

25 – Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor or circuit – high temperature indicated - Inlet air temperature sensor signal showed an air temperature of over 218? F for 5 seconds when vehicle speed was greater than 35 MPH.

Just had this occur with mine.

Just replug in the connector going to the air temperature sensor under the intake just before it enters the engine.

You remember to plug that sensor in?

Plug it in or remove and reattach. Then clear the codes and see if it some back.

Thanks, oh yeah..... I forgot my serpetine belt did come off and shattered that sensor and I had to replace it. The orginal one was plastic and replacing it with another plastic one was $52, but the guy at O'Rielly's found a brass one for $12.99. I cleared the code when I scanned it so it should not be coming back on, at least not for that.

Huh?

what sensor are you talking about? The one on the bottom of the intake pipe?

It cost me 13 bucks to replace here at the dealer.

It's the one on the bottom of the intake pipe that measures the air temp going into the intake. The oem was black plastic but the new one was brass.

If the belt chewed it up you may have a wiring problem to.
Ohm out the wires a coulpe of feet back to plugin.
They make rewire plugin kits.
