just a few questions on the sr20det
1. how many miles are on your det's? and what are common problems?
2. how much more are sr20det preformance parts?
3. is it easy to find parts for the det if it breaks down? where do you get the parts from?
4. how many miles can this car last before problems occure (not on the motor on the shocks ect)? - what mileage should i try and get? under 100,000? under 50,000? aviously lower is better but how long can they last?
5. if any of you are from nj are there any shops that carry sr20det parts that you know of?
6. after i get the sr20det what are the best mods to do next?
thanks for any help

1)They usually have less than 50k miles
2)Performance parts arent that much more...they are comparably priced to turbo mods for a 240SX
3)Parts are a bit harder to find...dont know where to get them besides Japan/UK/Australia
4)I think these motors can last as much as the KA's but that depends on each motor, the user, and how it was driven and cared for...just like how long the KA's live
5)www.heavythrottle.com is based out of New York...so look up Yury there...he's really good and smart
6)Best mods to do are intake, downpipe, exhaust, boost controller...w/those you can probably push close to 300HP if you have the S13 SR...at the flywheel of course...there are other things you might want to consider like a turbo timer, EGT gauge, boost gauge, air fuel ratio gauge...but those are good to start w/...you also might want to get a better clutch
