I have a '94 T-Bird,4.6,that the cruise just stopped working. Checked fuses and relays under dash and hood, all's fine! The car only has 70,000 miles. Any ideas? I'm thinking something in the steering wheel controls and hoping it's not in the speed control relay which I'm guessing it might be under the left fender? :uhoh:

There are two switches attached to the brake pedal. You are looking for the one that "opens" when you apply the brake and is called the Brake Travel Switch. If it is unplugged or is stuck open the cruise control will not work. 12V is supplied through it to the servo clutch. Maybe you will be lucky and that is the problem! Does the cruise light turn on? The speed control amplifier is located in the left front fender like you said.

Thanks for the info.....I'll definitely check that out! Oh yeah, to answer your question, no, the cruise light doesn't come on, but I think you have me pointed in the right direction. Thanks again.:)
