it's just that time of the month for your engine...

lol j/k

actually, check the color of your coolant... is it the red dexcool? if so, then there is a possibility that somewhere your coolant might be leaking into the oil. If not, then i have no idea at all what it might be.

Yes thats what I was thinking too I noticed the coolant dex-cool (orange-red) was below the add line so I filled it up to it (pint -quart) it took but then i canged the oil about 7 days after that.........ponder that ? but I thought that since the dex-cool has half water in it ..... It would foam up...it did not at all so ......... dont know what to think If i have to fill it up again ( coolant resovior ) then I might have a problem ! and my warrenty is about to expire extended one when I bought with the truck 3 months ago or 6000 miles or so ago I DONT KNOW but thank for you advice Anthony....

if you still have your warranty, then take it to the dealer, and be as finicky as possible. If it's covered, have them fix it if it's a problem. If not, then let us know and we'll try to help ya.

Get it there quick because you don't really need to be driving it with contaminated oil it will eat up your bearings.

Besides having coolant mixed, the only other time I notice red oil is when it's severely broken down..

You are losing anti-frez, your oil has a red tint to it, right, so out of all this extra coolant you have been adding has your oil level gone up any or has it stayed the same?

Is the oil a "normal" color? Or does it look like milkshake?

Take a pic of this red color you are talking about.

Also, not all oils are the same color.

Only way is to get an oil analysis done.

One way is to take some off of a dipstick and drip it onto a white plate and allow it to spread and see if you can see any blobs of coolant anywhere.

I will try that but listen the color of the oil was golden very golden when oil was changed on the dip stick i notice a red ish tint to its weird I may have a pressure check done on coolant system

If there was coolant in it, the oil would be milky. Redish tint is probably the way the oil is just getting used and I wouldn't worry about it.

Of course the oil is not going to be the same color as when you change it.

Mine is a little reddish as well. And I am using 100% true synthetic and I know I have no leaks.

What oil are you using?
