1988 Ford thunderbird

Hi i have a 88 tbird 5.0 302.....i was driving down interstate and all the interfreezer went inside the car in the floor so im guessing i gotta change heatercore and ive heard its a big job question is how big of job is i hard can it be done in one day and does dash have to come out?

Recommend looking at a repair manual to decide if it is a job for you. Look at the car and become familiar with all the parts and the job before you take anything apart. In the interim you can go to a hardware store plumbing department and get a 5/8" brass splicer (usually cost less than $2-) to connect the hoses going to the heater core together and bypass the core. This way your car will still be driveable.

Most likely the dash will have to loosened and the job will take all day. If you have an old muffin tin you can use it to keep fasteners organized. Use masking tape to label each cup. I have found the job to be tedious not difficult. See if you can loosen components for the A/C as opposed to disconnecting the hoses.

ok Im guessing you guys are a little bit older cause really it was pretty easy to read that for me. It might have to do with the fact that Im 20 but I still think its pretty easy to read.
