2004 Malibu Maxx FM Antenna Modulator Questiondolemite01 10-01-2006, 11:51 PM I have a Malibu Maxx with 6 cd changer and XM Radio and seeking to put in an FM Modulator. Where does the antenna plugin? I removed that side panel but did not see easily where to put the antenna in. Can anyone offer any tips? Thanks in advance! tractorboy 10-02-2006, 10:05 AM we have a max also. I was thinking the fm antenna was in the window at the top ? are you talking about this type of fm modulator http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.gsp?product_id=3579125 if so, my understanding was that the xmitter had stations you could tune to and the fm radio you had to tune to whatever sta the modulator was set to. You will of course have to switch from the XM band to FM dolemite01 10-02-2006, 10:50 AM we have a max also. Anyway maybe a car stereo place might know. alblogg 10-02-2006, 06:49 PM I don't follow what you are trying to do. Anyway maybe a car stereo place might know. Wants to know where the antenna hole is in the car radio cd system to plug a antenna wpbharry 10-03-2006, 06:35 AM "e2helper" will stop in one of these days and be able to answer your question, as he works for GM and was on the '04+ Malibu team. e2helper 10-03-2006, 07:43 PM I saw the thread, I just can't figure out what is being requested either. The Maxx has a rear right quarter antenna. The antenna coax cable hooks up to the antenna back in that area. The coax cable runs thru vehicle in main body wiring harness up to left hand instrument panel end cap. Pop it off and you will see inline connection to coax cable in instrument panel harness. That cable runs to back of radio where it connects. So there are 3 coax cable connections in vehicle. But I am not sure what is being requested. tractorboy 10-04-2006, 11:32 AM But I am not sure what is being requested the only thing I can figure is he is going to patch into the antenna and send the modulated signal down the wire to the radio, like an incoming signal. porrsher 10-06-2006, 08:28 PM So you've got the XM and a Changer, what are you trying to use that will require FM modulation? If its Sirius, there is a tuner you can buy to convert XM to Sirius, if its an Ipod, there are T harness available for that. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
