1999 Blazer Trailer Hitch

I have a 1999 Blazer that did not come with a trailer hitch. I have an original 99 Blazer trailer hitch. It does not fit on the frame because the bumper brackets are in the way. Any suggestions on how to put this hitch on?

if i am not mistaken the hitch replaces those mounts.

I figured it out. For info only. Remove the rubber mat on top of bumper. Remove the four bolts on top and bottom of bumper. Remove bumper. Remove the brackets from frame. Install hitch on frame and then reintall the bumper brackets on top of trailer hitch. Tighten bolts on frame. Reinstall bumper on the brackets and replace the rubber pad.

I agree -- The bumper slipped off after removing the bolts. The brackets came off after removing thier bolts. The hitch bolted on the frame and the bumper bolted on the hitch. -- Thanks for the help
