Just got my rb20det for my 240sx!dohctor_yaj 09-02-2002, 09:22 AM ssup u all... just wanted to let everyone know i just got my front clip of my rb20det this week...and if any of you are wondering why i didn't go with a sr20det or rb25det, lets just say i got my clip for $1,000 while a clip of the other two would have costed me three times as much... anyways, since i have the front clip, i was just wondering if some of you could give me the little things on swapping... am i gonna use the whole fat wire harness from the R32 and fabricated it all into my 240sx or just use the wire harness of the R32 that came directly from the engine? can anyone tell me what a dual thermos fan is? thanks TheLogikal1 09-02-2002, 10:56 PM hate to sound blonde here, but whats the diffrence between buying engine only and front clip? Fliquer 09-02-2002, 11:10 PM A whole front clip includes the body panels, headlights, suspension, steering, brakes hubs, etc. Skyline240 09-15-2002, 02:48 AM actually nolt all front clips come with body panels and sometimes they might only come with 1 or both are messed up also youre better off using everything from the rb20 front clip and when i say everything i mean everything even the mounts people say you need to buy custom mounts you dont tho you can even use the s13 clips but youll have to bend em a bit just use the rb tho also use the entire rb harness and re work the wiring dohctor_yaj 09-15-2002, 09:00 AM yeah, when i got my clip both of the fenders was messed up...no suspension, no steering, no rotors, no nothing...just the engine, tranny, ECU, entire wire harness...and little misc stuff... wat is a HICAS power steering? is there a difference between the rb20det and my ka24e? thanks Skyline240 09-15-2002, 11:29 AM yeah i was lucky when both my clips came when i got both my rb26 clips i got 33 headlights in great condition but the fender were messed up and then the other was i got all the gauges from the center dash and console as to hicas i forgot what it stands for but its suppost to be like assisted steering and braking or something SR20DETpower 09-15-2002, 03:43 PM rear wheel steering, points the wheels a certain amount of degrees in the back when you turn hard at higher levels of speed. search for some info on it here thre more detailed descriptions of it.
