If you have a misfire, the check engine light will flash whenever it happens. rloya99 09-27-2006, 07:35 PM could u tell how to go about fixing problem the car runs rough all the time also could u tell what VCT stands for thank u pre98zetec 09-27-2006, 07:56 PM variable cam timing. It's the solenoid that is attached to the exhaust cam. unplug the plug plugged intot he valve cover and see if the car runs a little better. If it does you need to replace the VCT solenoid.. And it's not cheap. rloya99 09-28-2006, 08:48 AM i tried to disconnect no hepl runs the same the only time that i runs okay is when i diconnect the mass air flow sensor when i hook it back up it starts running rough this is new mass air flow sensor i have the same code p1383 --and p0103 thanks pre98zetec 09-28-2006, 01:36 PM OK i looked up the codes. p1383 = Cam timing excessive. Possible skipped a tooth on the timing belt.. Pull the timing cover off and see if the belt is loose. p0103 did not come up. I'm not sure what that is. Here is a OBDII code list. http://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/ford/index.php rloya99 09-28-2006, 01:48 PM sorry p0102 one of them and p1380 pre98zetec 09-28-2006, 03:36 PM Can't find p0102 p1380 = VCT solenoid problem. You need to replace it. I suggest getting a book on the car and finding out how to do it. From what I hear its not that difficult of a job but I'm not totally sure. rloya99 09-30-2006, 10:25 AM could someone help me i need to check to see if a throttle position sensor and a cam postion sensor are any good or not before i buy them thank u vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
