I have come across this carb that is in excellent condition.I have done a little checking and found it is a model 4GC.Is it possible to find out the types of vehicles this carb would fit?I believe that the part number for this carb is 7028823.I do plan on selling it since I personelly do not have anything that it would fit.It is a little dusty and dirty from sitting on the shelf,but other than that it is in excellent condition.

That's an oldie!

It was replaced by the Quadrajet, in the mid 60's. It might be worth something if it's in good condition.

Store it in a plastic bag, and try to find someone who is performing a numbers-matching restoration. Some of those items are good swap-meet bait, too.

This carb is in excellent condition.Nothing that a cleaning and carb kit wouldn't cure.

a numbers matching restorer might want it but no one else really, dont see them much anymore ive only come across one ever, i think i still have it in the attic somewhere along with crates of later ones, i dont like the 4GC's, too old for me

back in '82 I had an '81 cutlass with the 231 V6 and electronic carb. The engine would not run very well so I Whittled a peice of wood into a carb adapter and put one of those 4GCs on that V6 and it ran great for a year when I removed the V6 and installed a 454 in the Olds:grinyes:

Actually my dad came up with the idea and I went along with it. The carb came off a '63 Chevy wagon with a 327 in it. The 327 eventually went in an '81 Cutlass before I put a 454 in the Olds for every day driving. Thats some craziness there.
