1995 S-10 2.2 Starter engage

I have a problem with the stater engaging when pushing the clutch padel down, and the key only in on position, and when its running you can't shift into gear, because every time you press the clutch peddle the starter wan't to engage thank in advance

sounds like an ignition switch problem . . .
