:alien: i saw the new impreza on the road in my hometown and i can say that it looks horrible. first, it's headlamps look like a Kia Sephia head lamps (stupid looks), when my friends and i saw it, some of them thought it was a Kia and it never look magnificent as the other versions of impreza i have ever seen. and also, it is quite small and less comfortable than other cars like evo, skyline, Nsx. etc.

everybody seems to have a differant opinion about this car . To tell u tha truth I'm in love with the exterior but the interior is plain as hell . I considered getting a Blue wrx . But i'm stuck with the CLS :D , If i had another chance to either get the wrx or the acura I might would have gotten a wrx . I'm only 18 I need a sports car something fast but i'm happy with what i have b/c i have the best of both worlds :)

before i used to think the last gen looked way better.... but now that i'm gettin used to it i think it looks better.... but it still don't think it looks close to as aggressive as it's competitors

Comon now, the new WRX is sooooooo ugly, and slow as well. It looks the round headlight looks like the Corolla :)

People here are waiting for the Sti version, Subaru hold off the import of the STi into Aust just so that customer would buy more of the normal WRX. Looking back at the 99 version which sold out so fast, one doesn't have to me smart to see which is a much better looking car :)

Improve a car by making it slower, more ugly ?? sounds like Subaru wants to team up with Microsoft ha ha !

yeah...apparently you dont realize that the WRX has 227hp plus all wheel drive...give me a 4 cylinder car that beats that....stock!:D

or do you mean no other 4 cylinder can beat it?

im pretty sure the WRX is a four banger. Comes with a pretty decent turbo stock though.

yeah! its a four cylinder horizontally opposed (or boxer) engine! That car is insane! It beats some v6's too!:smoker:

yeah i know that... i just wasn't sure that you knew that.... i thought you meant there are other 4-cyl. cars that can beat it

subaru and porsche are basically the only 2 car manufacturers that make boxer type engines... since they're more expensive to make than V or Inline engines

yeah I know that Porsche does make the 4cylinder boxer engines too, but Subarua is much cheaper, and non of the Porsche's 4cl. cars are worth the money. But yeah what I meant was that non of the other 4c. cars can compare to Subaru's unless its either twice as much, or jacked up (no longer stock)

A friend of mine has a WRX and I have to say its a nice little car. The only problem is a little turbo lag and its ceramic so the could (and have, so I've read) desintagrate at high RPM for long times. Also the waist gate starts dumping about 6500 so you don't get that last push of turbo when winding out or downshifting. Also it only runs with a 14.7 Psi boost. It also lacks a turbo boost gauge.

As for the MY01 Impreza WRX, anyone who really cares should know by now that it has nothing to do with visual appearance which makes the car significant. Some have even gone to describe the WRX as 'cute', which I cannot disagree with--it does look cute. But that's not what the WRX is all about, right? After all, if Subaru intended for its rally cars to look like a sports exotic, then they would not have started with a saloon body. But what does it matter, it drives like an exotic.

Previous generation WRX was lighter by almost 200 lbs I think. The new generation have much stiffer body.
