Go to autozone and buy a tester. or just have them read ur codes Derk_eliso 09-17-2006, 02:39 AM did u see the warning on the gas cap about that tho? jakegday 09-17-2006, 02:44 AM weird, i drove around without a gas cap for 4 months and my check engine light never came on, but i do know it does not shut off the instant the problem is fixed, if the gas cap was your problem, the light may shut itself off sometime tomorrow.... but he's not kidding, that could very well be your problem Lances133 09-17-2006, 08:18 AM Autozone will test the code for you for free, just ask them. I'm sure if you ask around a store or even a small repair shop they'll do it for you for free.
