Hi all! Have been scouring the forums looking for help with changing the heater blower motor on my Jimmy. I also have a question - My truck runs really well, is excellent on gas and was just tuned up (I was too cheap to pay for them to replace the blower :-P) the thing is - occasionally when the gas tank is around half full or just under the truck does a chug - I can only describe it like a gasp; if you lift off the gas pedal or gun it, it's fine. When this happens you can hear in the exhuast 'a miss'. My boyfriend thinks it might the CO2 sensor and I thought I'd check around and see what you all think! Great to read about all the other Happy Jimmy owners too - they toally rock!

The blower motor is easy to replace for your truck (I had to do it for the '91 S10 I used to have many moons ago). It sits on the right side of the engine bay right next to the firewall. As I recall, there's one screw on the underside that is hard to get to and the wires were a little short, but I was able to change it out in a parking lot during a snow when I needed a defroster.

As for the 'chug', I can't help you out there, never had that problem. They are great little trucks and I hated to sell mine...that 4.3L rocks! Hope this helps!

Thanks for the info :-) Went ahead and bought myself a book (gonna have to change my gastank soon - I've got a patched hole in it right now!) - you weren't kidding about that one bolt - we lost two sockets and the wrench trying to get it out :-) Love my little truck - awesome awesome! Great fun - great truck to be learning repairing on too...
