Check your door light switch ( the one that is located in door jamb and controls the dme light) and see if it is stuck or not getting power. I had this problem with my '96 Caravan on passenger side, and the door switch was bad, I removed switch, cleaned contacts and ground and now she works

Mine did the same. mine was the fuses located by the engine. did you check those fuses also? I never knew there was two spots where the fuses were located.
