Alternator IssuesGoulamann 09-09-2006, 04:29 PM Need some input, I was driving home last night when I noticed that my inside voltmeter was indicating 16 Amps....not good, I had the Alternator changed from it's original about 2 months ago. when I accelerate it will hit 16, when I let off the acceleration it is normal; also until I can put it in the shop on Mon morning is it ok to drive from point A to point B within a 5 mile radius and maybe some resolution to the problem....Thanks drftk1d 09-10-2006, 12:12 AM voltmeters read in volts, not amperes, what year is your car, and check the grounds on the alternator Goulamann 09-10-2006, 04:28 AM 1988.... drftk1d 09-11-2006, 10:05 PM yah check the grounds Goulamann 09-12-2006, 10:09 AM yah check the grounds Thanks for the imput, I will.... mwolvin 09-12-2006, 02:47 PM Check the battery and terminal connections as well. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
