1999 Blazer power window stuck down

how do i raise the window until i can replace the motor? Starting to rain:banghead:

I had this same problem with my 96 Jimmy. You would have to take the door panel off and once you see the glass just push it up until closed. This will buy you time while you find the part and fix it.

i have tried that, i have the panel off but i cannot move the glass up....it is like the gears from the motor are locked

Motor gear is on the window cam gear always.
Have to replace motor or remove but takes awhile to drill out.
Sure its dead - hit the switch several times may have corrosion on it.
If you have a volt meter depress switch and test at motor connections.
Good old plastic and tape!

sorry to say its probably stuck there until you replace the motor. Time to break out the saran wrap

you've probally fixed the problem by now but FYI for others with problem.... HOLD THE "WINDOW UP" BUTTON DOWN AND SLAM YOUR CAR DOOR..... I had the same problem and learned this from a Chevy Mechanic... apparently this is a common problem...:runaround:
