Installing command start in 95

My grandpa bought a command start for his 1995 deville and wants me to install it. I was just wondering if there is anything different about this car, or are certain wires hard to find. I have done a cavalier and a taurus, but havent done a cadillac yet. Is there anything I should watch out for?

I had a remote starter installed on my '94 Deville, and the shop just commented at how hard it is to get to the wiring for security reasons. So I guess expect it to not be easy!

Good luck!

That car is a cake walk to do but I wouldn't waste the time installing that POS paperweight in a Caddy even if it's a '95. If he insists to have it installed, you can look up that car's info at www.bulldogsecurity.com <no, I don't recomend their stuff either but it's an OK and FREE place for DIY'rs to look stuff up. The only thing that'll be more work is to bypass the OEM entry alarm AND the VATS system(pellet in the key) but you should be able to google that on here to get an idea how to bypass it. Simply put you just use a $2 resistor that matches the pellet in the key and a $2 relay if you don't want to permenately bypass the system (which you should do anyways, go a search on here!!!)

Good luck!

Do a web search for VATS bypass. Lots of info and parts sources.

Yeah that's what I said but don't buy a $50 bypass when you can do it yourself for under $5
