Fuel FilterGulfstream 09-07-2006, 02:05 PM 2001 SL SOHC. I went to saturnparts.com and they list the fuel filter at $75 and I found FRAM G9370 listed for $58. Those are hard prices to swallow for a fuel filter. I was wondering if anyone knew of somewhere that was cheaper. Thanks for any info. PlayStation3 09-07-2006, 08:53 PM now where is there anything near frams crappy ness so i would say no and STOP trying to be cheap. and get a decent one even though yours is the sohc it still deserves better then shat sierrap615 09-11-2006, 01:19 AM fuel filters for the 98-02 1.9engines have a service interval of 100K, and also incorpurate the pressure regular into the filter. Gulfstream 09-12-2006, 09:43 AM Thats good information to know. I have the uninformative Haynes manual and the interval that they suggest is 24 months or 30,000 miles. SabreKhan 09-15-2006, 01:50 PM Fuel filter on these babies are also a b*tch to change. Mine is going on 200,000 miles on the original fuel filter because I haven't had the desire to fool with it yet. Actually, my dealership back in Texas didn't even do it because it was too much of a pain and so few people even needed it. If somebody came in and HAD to have it done, they outsourced it. Too much disassembly involved for a shop with only two mechanics and six or seven techs. drew300 09-18-2006, 05:11 PM I haven't changed mine yet, although I'm planning to soon. A plugged filter will put a lot of strain on a fuel pump. And they're quite expensive. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
