Quite a collection.
I'd have to give up on both work and sleep to finish that many models before the end of this year, much less this decade!
good luck!

Ok heres progress on the F40.. Inspiration came about after watching a 2004 esp of top gear! As i watched the car burn rubber on the top gear track and going up against modern cars.. I find that it still runs faster than an enzo.. going from 0-60mph/0-100kmh in 3.2 secs! Ok time for progress!

Body inspection and sanded down
Things i did : Sanded down mold lines
Cut open rear vents
Sanded down molded on "Ferrari" Badge at the rear of the body
This is prob the last or last few badges of F40s made as the molding is really bad.

Enzo GT progress:
Took the GT wing from the xanavi GTR kit. The wing basically was given to me by a friend ... He made a mistake with the wing and i guess it couldnt be undone as the bond between the wing stand and the wing itself was too strong .. So i cut off the wing stand and added nicer ones.

Ok... today i found out that the alps printer had driver problems.. the old driver didnt work on Windows xp. As such the damn thing printed out crap , wrong colours. So now i have to get the new drivers to the printer and hopefully everything works out and i can get my Polizei 144 decals done! So............... I took the F40 engine and started to detail it... Heres the pictures to tell the story! Basically i want to have a nice metal finish and so far its going well... although i might have to go over the engine afew more times to get a nice metal look.

These are just pictures of the engine which i took where i stopped to show the steps taken. Semi-gloss black sprayed on

Hey, I was wondering who makes the metalizers you use? could you post a pic? thanks.

Steve

Hi steve... the ones i use come in a bottle form .. its from a company in japan called "work" . Sadly i check hlj and hobbysearch . both are currrently out of stock . As for usual , the bottle can last for years .. all u really need is just a little dap of powder on cotton bud and it can chrome my whole engine + brakes and still can be used again later.

is now a good time to tell you that the vents on the rear of the F40 aren't opened all the way through like how you've done them?

Hahaha... i just check reference pictures :( ur right .. the vents aint like that... Sadly if i redo them ... ill end up making a mess and the inside of the engine hood will look very horrible , so i rather leave it as it is and get another F40 and get it right!

Thanks for the comments ! And the Enzo is sexy with wings

F40 progress... Body painted italian red ... Needs to be sanded down again also there are areas which need abit of sanding to make the rear hood fit perfectly... and they will be marked out in the pictures. F40 engine idea is almost there , just needs some drilling to add wiring.

That 599 rally needs to grow on me. That is sad, cause I love all Ferrari's. This one just seems like a conglomerate of F430/612/Crapy wheels, etc, etc...

But, I also didn't like the enzo at first.:screwy:

Update on F355..
Work done today :
Mod the interior hub to fit to the body . This had to be done due to that fact that fujimi was lazy to tool a new interior piece.
Rear brake lights
Ferrari Badges
Added one more coat of black

I changed the rims to those from the 550M , looks sharper and more agreesive

This was the rear bottom half of the suspension holding + exhaust
Hate the exhaust , there was no opening and it was all molded in...
http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n198/gamerxz2/DSC00885.jpg

I first opened up the holes.. i then realised it still looked like crap. So i cut them off and put on those from the enzo . Enzo ones are slightly bigger so i had to sand abit to make them fit properly..
http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n198/gamerxz2/DSC00888.jpg
As u can see , I have to adjust them as one is sticking out too much..

Little update...
Seats were detailed with the ferrari badges

Body sanded
http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n198/gamerxz2/DSC00906.jpg

Then applied one wet clearcoat
Seems quite clean already ... sanded out about 2 or 3 dust marks
http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n198/gamerxz2/DSC00907.jpg

http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n198/gamerxz2/DSC00908.jpg

http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n198/gamerxz2/DSC00909.jpg

Applied the decals , pressed water out then applied decal softner and dried
Then applied wet coat straight as the clear wont eat the decals. I was confident just applying a wet coat and not bother about mist coats over decals.
This is after the 2nd wet clearcoat
http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n198/gamerxz2/DSC00910.jpg

http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n198/gamerxz2/DSC00911.jpg

Some mild uneven paint and slight orange peel but very shiny considering it hasnt been polished by my standards
http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n198/gamerxz2/DSC00912.jpg

Used the pennzoil shell to show its shine
http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n198/gamerxz2/DSC00912.jpg

http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n198/gamerxz2/DSC00913.jpg

http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n198/gamerxz2/DSC00914.jpg

http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n198/gamerxz2/DSC00915.jpg

http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n198/gamerxz2/DSC00916.jpg

Body was sanded down 1500 to 2000 grit... Then clean the "powder" it left behind. Right now i dont wet sand anymore as i feel i shouldnt let the paint touch water too much. Paranoid? lol but dry sanding works so why do the extra step?
The middle of the bonnet is polished with standard then fine and finially finishing compound to give it a smooth mirror shine.
http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n198/gamerxz2/DSC00917.jpg

http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n198/gamerxz2/DSC00918.jpg

http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n198/gamerxz2/DSC00919.jpg
Once again , used the pennzoil to show the shine.

Thanks for looking , feedbacks would be good!

Cool!! I love that shiny chrome engine. I also like that Ferrari Garage. I want to make one too.

Your car have great shine!! Great Jobssssssssss! I LOVE all of them!

While you build some nice ferrari, I'm building my classic horses too. I'm working on the 365BB, 365 GTB and GTS, 250 GTO, 275 GTB, 246 GT, 512S and 330p4.

Vyacheslav > Depends on how heavy... i did a wet coat not heavy coat. Wet meaning the paint looks wet.

MrFerrari > Thanks! Im making all the modern ferraris first then start on the classics

Small update : 90% complete. Left with Windscreen , front signal lights , and painting of the side signal lights. Added a rear brake light which was missing in the kit.I had to change the rims as the 550 set up was different from the 355 , which i didnt expect as i had no idea fujimi changed the wheel set up. The rims on the 355 now are aoshima BBS or rather stich mesh.

Car at its current state. I had tiny bubbles appearing on the cars for some weird reason... for 2 days nth came up and suddenly it appeared.. :banghead: I took care of it by rerubbing compound on affected areas and the paint is smooth now , though not as smooth as before.

http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n198/gamerxz2/DSC00927.jpg

http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n198/gamerxz2/DSC00929.jpg

This kit is just a kit to display among many ferraris so i didnt put in that much effort.. dont expect too much :nono: ... weird thing is the f40 experienced the same paint problem. Somehow i got a feeling its the weather or something screwy with paint cans... WEIRD anyway i have a solution to fix it.

Enjoy!

Got a bend or warped piece , the seats should be in good shape as the plastic is usually thicker there.

Interior started:
As auw12 pointed out , the rear air-con duct was missing... so i scratched that out
http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n198/gamerxz2/DSC00971.jpg

And the kit f1 gear was rubbish ... so had to scratchbuild that as well...
I made two pieces.. one was for the buttons located on the gear plate area and the other was for the gear handle

F40 progress :
Engine is almost done... all i need to do now is drill holes to include wiring.
I also cut off the rear piece so as to make my engine hood close properly and fit , also to make it easy to paint the chassic

wowwwww~~~what a vast project!!!you're really a ferrari enthusiast aren't you?it's amazing to see so many prancing horses in a non-meeting thread,in such a huge project maybe you can't concentrate on each kit but i really hope you can try your best, they're all stunners.i love the showroom diorama and everything you've done on the cars so far is good.the 612 is really a big guy,the length is 4902mm and the 355 is 4250mm so trust your eyes it's not over sized.:grinyes: the rear heating vent of the scag you've done is pretty good, but the F1 gear head is slightly over sized,i think you can fix it~~keep up the good works~~~i'm looking forward to the great result.

Garage update :
Right now this is my plan...
Combine 5 garage kits into one big diorama
Add a second level ; Open air carpark
Showroom effect
Ferrari livery for it
Planning to put 12 LED white lights

Right now i have done up the circuits for my spotlights which i will be adding to the diorama "ceiling spotlight"
http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n198/gamerxz2/DSC01020.jpg

The circuit has a 9V batt connected to a switch then LED White lights connected to the batt and switch in a parallel circuit.

Demo of the LED with the lights off ( one LED )

Thanks for looking!
And i need some ideas on how i can make the light cover a larger area... right now its like a "beam of light" kinda thing
