1996 T&C Driver's side heating problem

Looking for some help as to why the driver's side is only blowing cold. This vehicle does have a dual climate control. The passenger side blows fine, hot or cold depending on the setting. How it all started was that one day last week the driver's side would only blow HOT. Then, the very next day and ever since, the driver's side has only blown COLD. One more thing, that first day when the driver's side blew only hot, if I turned the AC on then you could feel that the AC was blowing and mixing with the hot air through the driver's vents. It doesn't matter whether it blows on the floor or dash or defroster, it's all cold for the driver.

Any suggestions as to where I should start looking/testing would be appreciated!

With dual climate control you either have a blend air door actuator that has failed or the control head has failed...try doing a self diagnostic on the unit and see what that yields...Have seen many control heads fail in my day...but also a few blend air door motors...or wrose yet blend doors

hello
you have a broken blend door its a common fault with grand cherokee's
if you remove the glove box you will be able to remove the motor which controls one of the blend door note there are to blend doors one for each side of the vehicle. remove the motor and see if youcan turn the spindle 360 deg if it does you will have to remove the heater box and strip it.
