anyone know why the front brakes would lock up all of a sudden on an 02 saturn sc1? the problem just started tonight and its raining out...

i take it you don't have anti lock brakes. anyway since everything is wet outside water got on the rotor and when you brake your pads get wet so you need to apply more stoping force then you apply to much thus leading to it to lock up. i my self have done this 1 but luckly i did not lock up the brakes it just squaled like you wouldn't belive.

Do you mean that the front wheels skid when applying the brakes or the front brakes now won't release?
