Battery Life, Just had to shareIloveAlice 08-28-2006, 09:01 PM Just replaced the original battery in my '96 Aurora with 175,000 miles. The first thing the guy at O'Reilly's said was - That battery is ten years old!; the second thing was - I don't have one; could get one by Tuesday (this is a common theme). The guy laughed and said - don't even try to charge it, it's had a good life! have 148,000 miles on my 98 aurora. original battery and everything. only problem i have encountered is radiator leaking. and drivers window won't move up or down. other than that all routine maintance. roadxing 09-03-2006, 10:52 PM i have a 1997 and just replaced the original battery at 197,700 miles. Pretty good job. Way to expensive to replace though.
