Hey folks. I just traded my '94 4.9 F-150 in on an '02 F-150 with a 4.2 V-6 and a 5 speed. It's a stripped down XL (all I wanted) with just the basics. Has 65,000 miles. It has a Motorcraft reman alternator and the PCM was replaced in '04. I have heard nothing but good about the 4.2, but I have never had one come in my shop, and never even drove one until yesterday. Are there any know issues with this truck/engine/tranny combo?

That will be a pretty reliable truck for you! Our old parts truck was a 2002 with a 4.2L and we retired it with 235,000 miles on it.
