abs system for 1992 buick riv

wanting infro on abs system if i do not hook up to brakes will it cause damage to car

The ABS system only operates under severe conditions and when wheel skid is detected and under full pressure on the brake pedal. When most people feel the pulsating of the brake pedal with the ABS is engaged, they let off of the brakes, thinking something is wrong with the braking system. ABS has no effect on normal operation of the braking system. I drove my last car over 100K and the ABS system was engaged only one time that I know of. It does work better in snow and ice; however, that is a rare occurrence where I live! Will it work with without ABS, the answer is, Yes!:grinyes:

now my question can it be disabled and not hooked back up ...the replaceing of the unit is costly and the car is 13 yrs old with 185,000 miles on it .thank you link
