Lube Points - 98 GCyeller 08-09-2006, 02:48 PM I started changing my own oil but would like to keep up on lubes. Does anyone know the best way to find all the lube points on my GC? 98 GC Lerado I-6 4.0L 4X4 Maui_Dave 08-10-2006, 10:19 AM According to the Big Green Book.... At oil change lube the suspension ball joints every 7,500 (Rough riding use Sched B which is every 6,000) Lubricate Steering Linkage (4x4) I've never done the lube myself, why bother when it comes with the oil change. While you're down there check the boots on the front axle. Seems to me that some preventative maintenance on the boots saves you in the long run. You might have read about the hard turning problems. Some relate it to the Viscous Coupling in the transfer case, others claim it's the front axle joints. Either way, might as well take a look while your down there. dksob81 08-11-2006, 02:47 AM I started changing my own oil but would like to keep up on lubes.
