i was experiencing some squeeling noises with the front end. took it to mechanic who put in a new upper control arm. Came home and tried to move my car the next day. I could not move because it felt like the wheels wouldnt turn. The tow truck came and the entire ball joint fell off of the wheel while it was being towed. The mechanic now says he refuses to fix it on his tab because it was the lower control arm that is connected to the ball joint. never had any problems with this before i took it to the mechanic Am i wrong to fight this or did he screw me over or screw up????

I think you need to have a lawyer send this guy a letter, then see what happens. I almost got ferked by my mechanic a few months ago, so I understand. In this situation, I think you might need a lawyer - depending on how much damage was caused during towing incident, as well as the cost of the initial repair.

Let us know, and good luck!

Did the upper control arm actually come off the with the ball joint and all or what? What exactly happened cause Im a little confused as to how it broke during the tow.
