I wouldn't, he is changing his design, the one on that Tacoma wasn't even tested and they are scrapping it. Later :finger: :finger:

...Here's the trick.
Go find the axle you want to use....
then find the springs you want to use.
and figure out how to put them on the truck!
buying a "SOLID AXLE CONVERSION KIT" isn't the best way to do it. It is however the best way to waste money....
Also I wouldn't give "All Pro" a dime of my money....

Do some research, do the work yourself...... this way it gets done right and doesn't cost you more than you paid for the truck.
here is a bunch of pics you can look at for refference.
He, Nate, decided to use a Toyota 8" axle from an '85 Toyota. He swapped the tubes and rotated the Diff.
He also fabbed up his own High steer crossover.

I have a 81 toyota for parts and am looking at taking the front axle and puting it under a 86 due to emmissions laws I can't put the fuelie motor and computer in the 81. I can't get the link to the pictures to work. I'm assuming you just measure the distance between t-case and axle yolks on the 81 and place the axle under the 86 and drill holes for spring shackles and reiforce the frame where the holes are. i think the frames are the same otherwise:confused:

since you have both trucks there, just take the measurements from the 81, and mimic that setup on the other truck.
I also suggest switching to a crossover steering setup.
you will need to weld new spring hangers up front and shackle hangers in the rear of the front springs.

A friend of mine suggested taking the cab off of both trucks and swapping the engines, trannys, t-cases and placing the 86 cab on the 81 frame because he said the frame on the 81 is tougher and shorter. the 81 is a standard cab long bed and the 86 is extended cab long bed I think having the shorter wheelbase is a good idea.
