Hi

If before you you annoy the weekends, one can say that the Venture is there to occupy you until Sunday evening.
Yesterday I have change the ext T° sensor (very easy) et the rear nozel (hard). Next week the minivan goes to mechanic for the trans PCS and both L&R tir-rod ends. This afternoon I'll fix the flickering interior and/or the exterior lamps by replacing the voltage regulator attaching screw with the new screw and washer.
I know my next week-end will be busy with the driver window which began to operate

(Ooops ! ! ! the <ENTER> key is very touchy)
yes ... I said the driver windows begins to move crooked (crosswise <- right word ?).
Another problem for the next week-end : the driver window switch which control the passenger window died. It makes well lowered the window but is unable to make it go up.
In sight : front struts ands rear shock are leaking

I owned Suburban and Roadmaster which were highly reliable (http://christophe.salvaing.free.fr/automobiles.htm) and it seems me that quality GM is into strong fall...

For the DS crooked window upon usually going up, but sometimes going down as well, get a can of silicone spray and spray (until it is soaked) the vertical felt slots the window travels in at both the 6" at the front of the window, as well as the entire length at the rear of the window. It works. You may have to soak it twice, be sure to spray both sides of the felt, and raise and lower the window a few times, and then wipe off excess silicone from those edges of the window that you can see once the window is closed. See the similar thread posted on 12-30-05 which is on the 4th page of threads I believe. Once person had to replace the felt as well, but I won't as long as the solicone works. It also takes a few hours or overnight to see the real impact of the the magic the silicone does. The window's raising/lowering speed now is close to back to normal and definitely faster.

Regarding your DS toggle switch failing to raise the PS window, this is also a repair you can make yourself, or I may come out there and be your new mechanic. Pays pretty well it seems. You need to replace your DS window toggle by prying the existing one up slowly out of its assembly, disconnecting and replacing with new. The toggle did go bad prematurely as did mine, although it still moves the DS window well. Good luck.
