Last month I just bought a used 1998 Eddie Bauer Explorer with 125K miles on it and my right turn signal just stopped working one day. A few days later it worked for a couple of turns then quit. Now it hasn't worked for a few weeks. Any ideas.

It could be the "Multi-function" switch which is the actaul turn signal switch. I see these as common components to fail.

And where is it and how do I fix it.

Remove the cover behind the steering wheel (At least half of it) and there are 2 Torx bolts that hold the turn signal switch to the column.

Thank you very much. That also helps me find the cruise control panel which was "pushed" deep into its slot.

I had this happen to me a while back. The blinker would blink once or twice and stop. I even had white smoke coming from the area where the hazard light button was... Replaced the multifunction switch, as suggested above, and that fixed it.
