1998 Eddie Bauer Explorer Turn Signalwarecm 08-05-2006, 01:31 PM Last month I just bought a used 1998 Eddie Bauer Explorer with 125K miles on it and my right turn signal just stopped working one day. A few days later it worked for a couple of turns then quit. Now it hasn't worked for a few weeks. Any ideas. Johnny Mullet 08-05-2006, 09:13 PM It could be the "Multi-function" switch which is the actaul turn signal switch. I see these as common components to fail. warecm 08-05-2006, 10:22 PM And where is it and how do I fix it. Johnny Mullet 08-05-2006, 10:27 PM Remove the cover behind the steering wheel (At least half of it) and there are 2 Torx bolts that hold the turn signal switch to the column. warecm 08-05-2006, 11:50 PM Thank you very much. That also helps me find the cruise control panel which was "pushed" deep into its slot. 00X 09-13-2006, 09:33 PM I had this happen to me a while back. The blinker would blink once or twice and stop. I even had white smoke coming from the area where the hazard light button was... Replaced the multifunction switch, as suggested above, and that fixed it. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
