Nice buy man! is it your first car? I just got my 97 cougar (sister car of the T-bird) a little more than 2 months ago, and i love it! Post up some pics if you can.

I know cars, just not about the inner workings (at least not as much as i'd like to anyway). My cougar was my first car also (im 16 too). There are TONS of awesome sites for the T-birds, just google t-bird clubs, and stuff like that. congrats on the ride.

A higher stall torque converter & lower-geared/higher
numerically differential gear will help off the line performance.

Contact Alan aka dirtyd0g on TCCoA (http://www.tccoa.com/) for a torque converter.
