94 Lumina A/C Recharge Mr.Zippy 08-03-2006, 10:31 PM
I have a 94 Lumina APV 3.1L and I'm attempting to recharge the A/C but the Hayne's Auto Guide nor the instructions that came with the recharge kit are any help in actually locating the low-side service valve. If I understand correctly, hooking the kit up to the high side can be potentially explosive. Any help in locating the valve would be most appreciated. I do see a valve about half-way between the compressor and the firewall but besides the one on the accumulator, it's the only one I see. Thanks in advance for the advice. Tim The accumulator port is the low side valve, and the valve near the back of the engine compartment is the high side. You can buy a recharge kit at autozone for 14 dollars that comes with 1 can of freon, a gauge and hookup for the freon. The gauge is idiot proof, as it only fits on the low side port on the accumulator. gerryboy0 01-06-2007, 05:57 PM they sure are different port size.. EPA??
