2000 E350 AC compressor not working/location of fuse?

Hello, new to this forum. I have a 2000 E350 extended van with dual air.Lost freon and recharged and worked fine than parked it for a few days then tried it and compressor is not coming on . put cheap 134 can gauge on it and seemed to have freon. My first step before suspecting the low pressure switch would be to check the main ac fuse,but the owners manual does not id a main ac fuse .only a 5amp fuse is listed with ac next to it and this cannot be the main fuse, it would have to be a 30amp fuse. help please.

Welcome on your first post on AF.

BUT Why would it have to be a 30 amp?
I show a 15 amp no 13 fuse for in in dash fuse box.
Check for power to low and high side pressure cut off switches.
Compresser 12 volt power has to get to and threw both switchs.
Lot of different engines and chassie set ups on E-350.
Which one is yours?
Did you use a wal mart death kit with the stop leak crap in it.

You cannot properly and safely recharge an air condition system with them.

The one side stop and go gauge does not tell you what your system is doing or is over charged or undercharged.
A overcharged or malfunction air condition system can reach over 500 lbs of pressure.
Enough to blow up that can or system and freeze you at first and the burn you or blind you and if any propane /butane in there blow and light you up.

The stop leak crap and who knows what kind of oil in the kits there will stop your system for sure.
Just like pouring super glue in it.
And some kits even contain freon with a butane mixer.
Good for a big blast.

If you are going to do it do it right and safe.

In the older days you could just throw in a can and go.
But over the years just adding freon is getting harder to do.
Newer systems have to have the correct amount of freon down to the ounces.
Most will need pumped down and vacuumed down and the right and amount of oil and a set amount freon charge installed to get the air to cool right and the system to last.
If an air condition is low there is usually a leak that needs fixed and also a lose of lubricating oil from system.
Also air and moisture enters a low system
If you are going to try to do it get the proper type air condition gauge set with the low and high side gauges.
Hook up the gauges and get a reading with compressor running at idle and at 2000 rpm on the high and low side.
Post back pressure reading and we can help you.

Mt, thanks for the reply. It is the V10 350 superduty extended box van. Well i checked the #13 fuse and it was fine. Then i jumped the low pressure switch with a wire and 2 aligator clips,and then the high pressure switch. Hard to get to ,or see the pins inside these switchs, had to remove the battery to get to them. No luck with that ,compressor never kicked on. Kicking myself for not putting gauges on it after i charged it and it was working. Next i was going to run power directly from battery to compressor but could not get plug removed from compressor and quit for the day. I dont know if i can jump the plug in on compressor,what do you think? I have a set of guages but compressor has to be running to get a reading. And yes i used a kit from Orielys auto parts and checked the can and it had oil added and a sealant....

Check for 12 volts with ac turned on.
Also check for power going threw switch.
If 12 volts there check for 12 volts to and threw the high pressure cut out switch.
You should be able to jump in at pressure switch with a 12 volt fused jumper and get compresser to kick in.

I did not get power at the plug at the pressure switch on the high pressure line with ac on . test for power at the plug for the pressure switch by the receiver dryer did show power with ac on. Please id location of each switch so i Know which one you are talking about. Thanks again for the help.

Sounds like you done found them.
The low pressure is at reciever dryed.
High pressure will be on high side line or condenser area and some on compressur but always on high side.
The low pressure switch gets 12 volts from AC controls.
It should have 12 volts to and threw it and to the high pressure switch on high side.
Make sure power is on both sides of low pressure side switch at reciever dryer.
Same with high side switch.
Then if no power to high side switch it is the wire between them.
Sometimes the plugin wire will get bad. So check for 12 volts a inch or two from the plug in.
