If you have an Air bag light illuminated in your dash and all cruise, horn , etc located on the steering wheel are not functioning, 99% chance that the clockspring ( AKA Air bag sliding contact ) is at fault.
Repairing this takes patience because you have to remove the steering wheel and other electrical parts. If you are a little hesitant, then do not attempt. If you feel like attempting this repair, disconnect the battery and turn the headlamps "ON" for 5 minutes. This is done to kill the KAM (Keep alive memory) Failure to disconnect battery could inadvertently cause airbag deployment during repair.
Hope this helps.

Do you know exactly where is is located, and an approx cost for a new one? Maybe what it looks like? Thanks again

The clockspring can be accessed by:
1. Remove battery power as outlined in previous post.
2. Remove air bag - 2: 8mm bolts (one on each side at 9 o'clock position and one at 3 O'clock position. disconnect the wiring and be extremely cautious. Always point the airbag away from you in case of accidental deployment.
3. Remove the steering wheel.
4. See the black ring around the column shaft immediately behind the steering wheel?

That is the clockspring.

Prices vary on a clockspring. Ford has a dozen different part numbers depending on build date, options, etc.
Call your local Ford dealer and give them all the info on your van and they can give you a price right over the phone.

Hope this helps
